In the wake of Hurricane Helene, October 2024, Lions Club of Aiken members took part in a two-day service project in which 6,600 bags of ice, as well as water bottles, fruits, nuts, energy bars, and muffins were distributed, from a large refrigerated semi-truck at the Food Lion in Warrenville, SC (Hwy 1 near Langley Pond).
We appreciate State Senator Tom Young stopping by and are also very grateful to R & I Trucking Company Inc.
And a special thanks to all the Lions and other volunteers who reached out to those in our area!
